(Hesston, PA) JELT Enterprises, Inc. has made some exciting adjustments to the 2015 schedule of events at Hesston Speedway. High-power professional truck and tractor pulling, the East’s new E-mod tour, and Pro-Late Models are among the additions.
The 2015 season will bring new owners and a completely new attitude toward racing and other motor sports at Hesston Speedway in Huntington County, Pennsylvania. Hesston has the alias “Motor Mountain,” and that name will definitely take on a unique meaning for the “Goliathon Power Pull” Professional tractor and truck pulling comes to the track for the first time ever in this event on Saturday, July 11.
Full Pull Productions, Inc. of Jamestown, Pennsylvania will produce this inaugural pulling event and will co-sanction with USA-EAST Sled Pulling and Interstate Truck and Tractor Pullers. The headline class will be the Incredible 7,700 pound Light Limited Turbo Tractors. These ‘smoker” style· tractors have a super mix of manufacturers and colors, and showcase one of the most competitive tractor classes running in the East. This is an Interstate sanctioned class.
The other sanctioned point division will be the 6,300 pound Super Street GAS 4×4 Trucks-a USA-EAST division. This division will feature gasoline engines that can be up to 540 cubic inches of ground pounding pulling power. Also on the program will be an open class for 2.6 Diesel 4×4 Trucks and a special class for off-the-highway semi-trucks. Local diesel truck owners will get a chance to show off on the mountain in a street licensed work stock diesel division. Additional classes will be announced at a later time.
The newly-formed Mid-Atlantic Mod series banner will fly over the “Wheel 2 Wheel E-Challenge” for E-mods on Saturday, June 20. This new touring series will feature special events for the E-mod class in the region. The series kicked off with a successful inaugural event last October, and has put together a full scheduled for 2015. More information on the series can be found at http://www.midatlanticmods.net. The “Wheel 2 Wheel E-Challenge” is being run as a companion event to Dog Hollow’s E-mod race the following day.
Pro-Late Models (crates) have been added to the schedule on Thursday, July 2 as part of “Revolution 2015.” It will be a total late model rebellion, as Hesston will feature 3 classes of late models that night including the UFo Super Late Models and the track’s mighty Semi-Late Model Sportsman. With the various tire rules of the surrounding tracks, Hesston will permit both manufacturers tires and is currently evaluating the compounds and minimum hardness that will be in effect for this event.
“Motor Mountain” is located in the scenic Raystown Lake and mountain country of central PA and provides a wonderful opportunity for race fans and race teams to make a complete weekend getaway when attending the racing events at Hesston. All fans are provided an excellent view of the action, with grandstand seating and drive-in viewing built high above the racing surface. Hesston welcomes campers and now offers in track-camping on the back straight viewing ramp.
